Join us in downtown Hartsville to kick-off the Hartsville for the Holidays season at the Downtown Holiday Open House & Centennial Tree Lighting! Our city will come alive with holiday cheer on Thursday, November 19th from 6-9 pm at this celebratory event hosted by the City of Hartsville in partnership with Main Street Hartsville. Start the holiday celebration off early Downtown for a fun and safe night. At 6:00 pm, Mayor Mel Pennington will kick the night off at the annual lighting of the Centennial Christmas Tree. Indulge in extended shopping hours and holiday specials at Main Street Hartsville businesses during Downtown Holiday Open House. Our friend Santa Claus will be outside this year for you to pass along your Christmas wishes. A chance of real snow and a guest appearance by Mrs. Claus make this magical holiday tradition one that you won’t want to miss. We look forward to kicking off the holidays with you!
Santa Claus will be waiting on the sidewalk near the Mantissa Hotel (130 E. Carolina Avenue) for photos from 6:30-9 pm. Please bring your camera for photos with Santa.
We are so very excited to continue this annual tradition, but want all event attendees to be safe. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced throughout the entire event. Masks will be required before entering any store or restaurant in accordance with the City of Hartsville’s mask ordinance.
